Thought Bubble: Is Poor Leadership Redeemable?

Let's say you've experienced an erosion of #trust between you and your leader/s. Perhaps you believe they consistently over-promise and under-deliver, or they take credit for your work and minimise your contribution at every turn. Maybe they play favourites and you often feel undermined as a result. Or what if those breaches of trust are even more egregious? What if you discover, first hand, examples of behaviour that deeply threaten your firmly held ethical #values - perhaps #bullying, #misogyny, #sexism, #racism or #corruption?

Aside from potentially following your organisation's HR protocols to address some of these concerns, what would you do (or have you done) with regards to the #leadership relationship between you both? Does your attitude and posture toward this person change and, if so, in what ways?

And what about the possibility of redemption? Is there a way back for this relationship? What would have to happen for that trust to be restored? Can it really be restored?

Would you metaphorically fall backwards into the arms of this person should the circumstance arise, or would you rather fall flat on your back rather than ever trust their leadership again?
